Introduction
Right at Home (RAH) is dedicated to treating everyone with respect, ensuring that each individual can maintain both dignity and independence. RAH strives to meet the needs of employees and clients with disabilities, actively working to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility.
RAH is dedicated to upholding the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and continually seeks ways to enhance inclusion. This accessibility plan details the proactive measures we are taking to fulfill our obligations and expand opportunities for people with disabilities. Our commitment is reflected in our ongoing efforts to make Ontario a welcoming and accessible province for everyone. To ensure its continued relevance, this plan is reviewed and updated at least once every five years.
Training is provided to every employee on accessibility during orientation and any ongoing with changes to policies and record of training is maintained.

Training
- RAH ensures that employees receive training on Ontario’s accessibility laws and the Human Rights Code as it related to people with disabilities as part of the onboarding process. Training is provided to employees in ways that best suits their duties.

Employment
RAH is committed to ensuring fair and accessible employment practices are applied. To inform the public and employees of this commitment, RAH takes the following steps during the recruitment and assessment process and upon hiring of new staff.
- Applicants are notified that persons with disabilities will be accommodated upon request throughout the recruitment process
- Job posting and advertisements include written notices of RAH supporting accommodation upon request throughout the recruitment process
- Candidates are notified upon initial contact that RAH supports accommodation upon request throughout the recruitment process
- Accommodations for individual’s disabilities (temporary or permanent) are integrated into return-to-work planning as appropriate.
- During performance management, career development and redeployment processes, RAH considers the accessibility of works with disabilities.
- All applicable policies and procedures are reviewed biannually.
